Terrace Stone

Terraces, courtyards and roof decks — freeze-proof basalt in large formats, with fewer joints.

About the material

Terrace Stone

A terrace works in the hardest conditions on a building: sun, rain, freeze–thaw and constant foot traffic. This is where the case for basalt over more porous stone is clearest — frozen water does not break it apart from inside.

Large format on a terrace is not only an aesthetic decision. Fewer joints means fewer places for water, dirt and weeds to collect — and less maintenance.

We supply for both mortar bedding and adjustable pedestal systems. For pedestals, thickness and tolerance are critical — we deliver 20 and 30 mm at ±1 mm.

In practice

What we account for on a terrace

01

Freeze resistance

Low absorption means frozen water does not break the slab from inside. Critical on open terraces and roof decks.

02

Large format

600×1200 and 800×1600 mm formats cut the number of joints sharply — less dirt, less maintenance.

03

Pedestal mounting

For adjustable pedestals, thickness and tolerance decide the result. We supply 20 and 30 mm at ±1 mm.
